SELF-GUIDED ROUTES
As experienced cyclists, we have worked hard to make sure these routes are anything but run of the mill.
Choose your own route, whether waterfalls & ancient tombs are your thing or maybe you want to take in some sweeping views - we've got you covered!
FOREST EXPLORER
Pollnagollum waterfall and Linnet Inn
Mostly off road on forest tracks, this tour brings you in the heart of the Fermanagh scarplands.
Approx 3 hours - 34km
Combining amazing scenery and ancient history, you will cycle along forest tracks in Ballintempo forest and discover lying on a sloping ledge in rocky moor-land: Aghnaglack Dual-Court Tomb with Cuilcagh Mountain as a back drop. Alternatively, discover Pollnagollum cave & waterfall (a Game of Thrones filming site). If you are hiring E-Bikes in the afternoon, visiting the Linnet Inn traditional thatched pub is a must! On your return journey, enjoy the thrilling descents of the Boho hills, revealing breathtaking panoramas of Lough Macnean, Co. Leitrim & Co. Cavan.
SCENIC ROUTE
This is the shortest of our routes but by no means the most ordinary. It offers spectacular views of Lough Macnean.
Approx 1h30 hours - 20km
Follow the B52 road along the shores of Lough Macnean and then veer up to the back road to experience the most spectacular views of Lough Macnean and its surrounding counties: Co. Leitrim, Co Cavan and in the distance Co. Sligo. The small road follows the contours of the hills and goes up and down like a roller coaster. On the last descent you can admire Cuilcagh Mountain and the Marlbank above the village of Belcoo.
LAKE LOOP
This tour is ideal for those who are looking for a leisurely cycle, it is mostly flat but allows you to cover a nice distance.
Approx 3 hours - 30km
Hop across the border, travelling through 3 counties, cycle along small roads and forest tracks. Explore the shore of Upper Lough Macnean, its legend, and the sculpture trail. Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the lake then stop for a well deserved cup of coffee and bun in Blacklion (Co. Cavan) or in Belcoo (Co. Fermanagh).
